Tailoring garments, mending and designing is a trade which will last as long as human race thrives on earth. Imparting this flourishing skill and transforming women into self-reliant, self-sufficient individuals is the core vision of Skilled Hands. This project uplifts women from their downtrodden state and empowers them to bring out the hidden creativity which earns a living and lots of self-confidence.

STEPS Study Centre

STEPS (Stimulate and Teach to Enhance Personal Skills) Study Centre is a twofold activity centre. This is mainly aimed at providing formal and informal learning opportunities to the local residents of all ages. Information is a stimuli that will stir up dormant and under-used individuals and transforms them into responsible citizen and leaders. The foremost objective of STEPS study centre is to make the constantly changing information available to the public – relevant information to targeted age groups. It will also assist children in an ‘After-school tutorial’ model. It is structured to ensure a mutual interdependent relationship between the school, home and the community.
